"My House To Your House" Sale

Over the years there were so many houses where wonderful memories were made with people I truly enjoy. Captured in these interior photos are furnishings from homes where I have lived in at one point or another in my life.  Setting them up was always so much fun and so they were constantly changing!  Styling and staging those houses was like playing for me.  Slowly the things in your home can become a part of your identity. Setting up a house can be a wonderful creative process; reflecting some of your personality and interests to those who visit.  

Over time, your priorities change in wonderful ways. When it was time to forge ahead with the decision to transition and to simplify I found myself back near family and old friends. It has been quite a process! With all the travel done for pleasure, photo shoots or business over the years, I am fortunate to feel right at home wherever I happen to be. Yes, sure, it's a lot of moving about but I enjoy it. Even in nature a change of scenery is part of living this wonderful life!  Travel is always an exciting opportunity to learn. Sometimes the reasons for transitions are lovely and dynamic, starting a new relationship, a family, new career or making the decision to be closer to those you love. 

 It is so good to be reminded just how fortunate we are, not just for the homes and the lifestyles lived in them; but more so for the wonderful people and warm hearts of those with whom they've been shared.

As you may have gathered from the slideshow, part of my history as  a stylist started with collecting  for the decor of my old farmhouses...(ahh, past loves)  I've changed my tune quite a bit since those days but some of the photos from past catalog and magazine shoots were captured in charming environments where I was truly fortunate to live; sometimes  at home, at the shops, and on the property. Many of those shoots featured eclectic props, dear people,  collections and homes of cherished friends, delightful children and well-loved animals.  A few memories here to  share...
